This Privacy Policy covers visaphotoapp.com and the VisaPhotoPlus iOS app (together, "VisaPhotoApp," "we," "us," or "our"). VisaPhotoApp is operated by FamilyDocs Inc. It explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our visa and passport photo tools.

1. Information We Collect

Your photo. When you upload or capture a photo to process, we receive the image so we can remove the background, crop it to the requested country's photo spec, and run biometric compliance checks (face detection, head pose, eyes/mouth state).

Email address (optional). If you request a sign-in link to recover previously purchased photos or credits, we collect the email address you provide for that purpose.

Payment information. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple (in-app purchase) or Stripe (web checkout). We never see or store your card number; we only receive confirmation that a purchase completed.

Usage & diagnostic data. We log basic technical data (request timing, error rates, photo processing outcomes) to keep the service reliable. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To remove the background from your photo and crop it to the correct dimensions for your selected country/photo type
• To run biometric compliance checks (face detection, head pose, eyes open, mouth closed, head size, centering) and surface issues before you pay
• To store your processed photo so you can retrieve or re-download it later
• To verify purchases and grant HD downloads
• To respond to support requests

3. What We Do NOT Do

• We never sell your photos or personal data
• We never use your photos to train AI models
• We never share your photos with third parties or advertisers
• We do not require an account to process or purchase a photo

4. Data Storage, Retention & Security

Original photo. Your original upload is processed entirely in memory — typically for just a few seconds — and is never written to disk or retained after processing completes.

Processed photo. The background-removed, cropped result is stored securely, encrypted at rest, so you can retrieve or re-download it later. We do not currently commit to an automatic deletion window for stored processed photos — you can request deletion at any time (see Section 5).

All data in transit is encrypted (TLS). Storage runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in the United States.

5. Your Rights

• Delete: You can request deletion of any stored photo or your associated data at any time by emailing support@visaphotoapp.com. Deletion is permanent.
• Access: You can request a copy of the data we hold about you.

6. Data Sharing

We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Payment processing: Apple (App Store in-app purchase) or Stripe (web checkout) process payments on our behalf. They receive only what's needed to complete the transaction.
• Infrastructure: AWS provides hosting and storage for processed photos.
• Legal requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or court order.

7. Cookies & Tracking

The web tool uses an anonymous session token to associate your uploaded photo with your purchase. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The VisaPhotoPlus iOS app does not track you across other apps or websites.

8. Children

VisaPhotoApp is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of VisaPhotoApp after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
